How to allow contributors to upload images files in a Post in WordPress? In a wordpress blog there are lots of contributors who use to write for the blog and they can’t upload images/videos as they don’t have permission to do so and most of the times you want them to add images/screenshots to your blog,but wordpress by default don’t allow this. So, if you want that your contributors also add images just like regular authors you will need to do some changes in your wordpress code .



To Allow contributors to upload images/files in wordpress :



You need to put this code into functions.php of your wordpress blog:



if ( current_user_can('contributor') && !current_user_can('upload_files') )<br /> add_action('admin_init', 'allow_contributor_uploads');<br /> <br />function allow_contributor_uploads() {<br /> $contributor = get_role('contributor');<br /> $contributor->add_cap('upload_files');<br />}



It will enable upload files feature for contributors.



If you don’t want to do the above,then you will have to use a wordpress plugin called Members .
